KLAXON STORY

Why in the sea it is so easy to move autonomously while in the city we encounter so many difficulties?

The idea of producing mobility solutions for people in wheelchairs was born from the sea. The previous phrase may seem like a provocation, but realising that it is easier to cross the ocean in a sailing boat than to move around the city, led to the idea of creating “something” that allows people to move around easily and independently on land.

In 2015, Enrico Boaretto and Andrea Stella, the founders of Klaxon, set up a company that designs solutions for the everyday mobility of people who, like them, are wheelchair users.

The choice of the company’s name, however, comes from a completely different world: the road.

In fact “Klaxon”, as well as being a reinterpretation of the name of the car horn, sounds loud and evocative. The products are called Klick because this word recalls how fast they can be engaged and disengaged: in just a “klick”. Klaxon immediately stood out on the world scene as a highly innovative company, with a creative and cutting-edge R&D department and a worldwide patent for the “Linking System Klaxon®”. Klaxon has achieved ambitious goals that prove its commitment and quality: it has obtained various certifications, including the ISO 13485, and worldwide patents that attest to its excellence and quality at an international level.
