Marta Nocent

Hi, I’m Marta Nocent and I’m 37 years old. I define myself as a very active person and my time is equally divided between work and family: I work as a dentist and I have two wonderful little daughters.  Before the accident and the spinal cord injury, I played volleyball at a competitive level—sports had always been a part of my life. Once I got through the very tough period of hospitalization, I looked for a sport that would allow me to fully use the functional part of my body. Among the various options, there was fencing. I made my competitive debut between 2009 and 2010, and later I became an Italian champion multiple times, eventually winning two silver medals in the team sabre event—one at the 2017 Wheelchair Fencing World Championships and another at the 2018 European Championships. I love spending my free time outdoors and Hybrid by Klaxon allowed me to rediscover the beauty of cycling with family and friends.
